Job Summary

Hyperion Biotechnology is seeking a Faculty Manager to work with the Academic Support Section with the management of the faculty database that maintains 920 instructor records and Academic Reporting Menu, in addition to managing the Instructor Evaluation program in METC.  This position will support the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC) at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston TX. agencies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to develop internal policies, methods and procedures and training programs for carrying out evaluator functions, based on guidance and directives of executive leadership
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Manage the Instructor Evaluator Program. Design and develop policies, standard operating procedures and training lesson plans for program administration and training. Identify developmental training needs of evaluator members and provide for needed development and training. Serve as lead program trainer for campus instructional staff.
  • Data analysis. Coordinate, direct and manage all aspects of daily faculty and programmatic data collection for 48 academic programs comprised of approximately 920 faculty and support staff. Ensure compliance, proper content, quality, timeliness and accuracy of program data entry for monthly metrics reporting purposes.
  • As staff analyst, plan and advise on institutional change management. Recommend implementation of new ideas, procedures, processes, methods or approaches of substantial scope, difficulty, and complexity in areas of productivity, quality management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for the oversight, training, development and management for over 120 Faculty Point of Contacts (FAC POCs) in their duties in managing the Student Transcript, Administration and Record System-Faculty Database (STARS-FD).
  • Quality Assurance. Study, analyze and develop methods to improve workflow and training problems while implementing improved methods and technology. Plan, coordinate and monitor the Instructor Evaluator program's progress. Evaluate the attrition rate of instructors leaving the program and recommend corrective action to Department Chairs, Associate Deans, and Dean of Academic Affairs.
